Position Purpose

To establish and communicate the Water Utilities Corporation's Enterprise Risk Management Framework, as well as facilitate and lead interfacing with functional Departments to establish and communicate risk management methodology, processes, risk appetite and risk culture to facilitate and supports intelligent risk taking and risk-based decision making.

This role is accountable for setting the policy and risk and compliance strategy aligned to Corporation's overall business strategy and mandate.

It defines the risk profiles and agrees risk appetite with the Executive Leadership as well as provides guidance to Risk Compliance Governance structures on overall leadership vision and direction.

This role facilitates and embeds a risk management culture across the Corporation by overseeing and managing an effective risk management program.

The role is also accountable for mitigation of fraud and corruption and responsible for directing the purchase of insurance programs, management of relationships with third party service service providers including brokers, and insurers and updating and monitoring compliance with insurance procedures at WUC.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications:

A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Risk Management, Economics, Business Administration, Strategic Managenent, Accounting, Finance, Science, Engineering, Project Management or related field from a recognised university.

A Post Graduate Qualification in Risk Management is an added advantage

Professional Certification in Risk Management eg Enterprise Risk Management Certified Professional (ERMCP), Certified Risk Analyst (CRA), ISO 31000 etc or equivalent is advantageous

Experience:

A minimum of five (5) years' relevant post qualification experience in risk management of which three (3) years  should be at managerial and people management experience

Exposure to driving organisational transformation is an added advantage.

Remuneration

Salary: An attractive Salary Package commensurate to the market

Leave: 30 working days per annum
